Ralph McMillin Obituary

Ralph E McMillin Jr passed away on February 17th, 2024, at the age of 82 at St.Joseph hospital of Warren leaving the world a little bit duller. He was born in Warren, Ohio on June 29th, 1941 to Ralph McMillin and Anna Mae Lytle. 

He was married to Phylis McMillin on June 10th, 1965 in Mobile Alabama and spent 56 wonderful years married until her passing on September 15th, 2022. 

He graduated from Howland High School and then he spent the next 16 years serving his country in the United States Air Force as a Tech Master Sergeant stationed all over the world in places such as Japan, Colorado  and Alaska. Ralph received an associate degree from Eastern Michigan University. He spent the next 25 years as a Service Engineer for Ajax Magnethermic until he retired. 

Ralph loved spending time with his grandkids watching them play all the sports and activities he could. He loved his two dogs, Abbie and Pookie. He also spent 31 years of his life as a member of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle club, 49 years as a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a lifetime member of the DAV. He also was a member of the Scottish Right, the Cortland scope, and the church of Nazarene. He was an avid Ohio state fan and a big Cleveland sports fan. He enjoyed hunting with his sons, going to car shows and watching airplanes fly over while he sat on the porch. He loved going to breakfast at Top Notch, spending time with his friends. 

Ralph leaves behind to cherish his memory; his 3 sons, Ralph (Angie) Mcmillin, Eric (Amy) Mcmillin, and Patrick (Mary Jane) Mcmillin and a daughter in law Heather (Michael) Remaley. His brothers Daniel (Anna) Mcmillin and Timothy (Karen) Mcmillin. His sister Jean Reese and sister in law Sally,  his brother in law Bob.   His grandchildren: Jessica (Josue) Quiroz, Danny (Ben) Lesh, Amber (Curtis) Mooney, Timothy (Becky) Mcmillin, Amber (Timothy) See, Autumn (Devin) Moore, Tommy (Chelsie) Carmine Smith Mercedes (Andrew) Mcmillin, Brittney Mcmillin, and Natasha McMillin. He also had  great grandchildren: Lexie, Timothy, Owen, Devin,Maci, Adalyn, Kylie, Makenna, Corbin, Paislie, Heidi, Maylee and Barrett. He also had two close friends, Ed Mallaly and Ray Gilbert. 

Proceeding him in death were his loving wife, Phylis. His parents Ralph and Anna Mae. His brothers Terry and Jack Mcmillin, brother in law, Ron Reese. Sisters Wanda and Lavina and his granddaughter Amanda. 

Calling hours will be on March 2nd at 12pm followed by a funeral at 1pm at the Cortland Church of Nazarene 293 E main St, Cortland Ohio 44410.
